Bosun Hau

Bosun Hau is a General Partner, Co-Founder, and Head of the Tybourne Strategic Opportunities Fund (TSOF), a family of dedicated capital pools totaling approximately U.S. $1 billion in assets under management, focused on private global growth equity investments through Tybourne Capital Management in Hong Kong. He brings over 20 years of diverse global investment experience across the US, Asia, the EU/UK, and Israel, spanning both public and private markets. Before Tybourne, Bosun was a Partner at Sailing Capital (Shanghai and Hong Kong) and MVM Partners (London and Boston). He also worked at JP Morgan Securities (New York), S.R. One (GlaxoSmithKline’s corporate venture arm in Philadelphia), and McKinsey & Company (Singapore). Early in his career, he began in sales and marketing at Eli Lilly & Company. Bosun has served as a Board Director or Observer for 25+ publicly-listed and private companies across Healthcare, Technology, Fintech, and Consumer sectors. He is also an active angel/seed investor and advisor to early-stage ventures. His academic credentials include an MBA from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, and three bachelor’s degrees from the University of Arizona. In addition to his investment roles, Bosun contributes as a Board Advisor to Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures and serves as a Board Overseer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a leading teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
